So - I mentioned before that I've been a little bit of a Pinterest groupie lately, but I really think it's going to have a positive impact on my cooking. Today I made this Caldo Verde soup from Gourmet that I pinned a few weeks ago and it's so easy - and absolutely wonderful. It's brothy and has a warm spiciness that's really great for this fall weather. Click here for the recipe. (The below pic is from Gourmet... though next time I promise I'll take one of mine before we eat it all up). The chorizo I got was a tube kind, so rather than slices I just made little tiny balls and cooked them in a skillet. I also crushed up crackers and put them in the bottom of the bowl before I ladled the soup in and I think it cut the broth perfectly.
Here's to more warm dishes for the cool weather!
