Pansies and Tulips

I finally planted some pansies this morning! I filled a few pots of purple ones, and then made this hanging basket with the orange ones and some white violas. Our indoor seeds are also starting to grow and I'm getting reeeallly antsy to put the vegetable beds together. This is the first year we'll have so much space for a garden - and be here on time to get it started properly. So. Excited. Aside of vegetables (which includes more tomatoes plants than anyone really needs), we're growing a few types of beans, purple cauliflower, and some melons. I'm also trying out some new flower varieties, amidst the zinnias (love them!), so hopefully I can share pics and have flowers to paint all summer long.

The yellow tulip is one of the surprises that came up along the side of our house, and the painting is new and will go up in the shop as soon as etsy is through having the hiccups. Happy weekend!

Lovely flowers and lovely painting. I love zinnias, too, but don't have enough sun and space for them.

I love your pansies (flowers AND the painting!) I can't wait to get mine....do you mind if I ask what kind of camera you have? I'm looking to upgrade but am definitely an amateur. Your photos are so beautiful.....thanks!

Hi Michelle - I'm a pretty amateur photographer too, but our camera helps. :-) It's about 5 years old - a Canon Rebel xti - and I love it. I think you can get them for pretty cheap now.
